Hi girls,
A few weeks ago I was on a holiday with my family in Aix-Les-Bains in France. We had a wonderful vacay and really enjoyed the time we had together. Unfortunately time flies and the five days were over in a split second. Now back to work and really looking forward to my next holiday in September. It will take a while, but definitely worth it to discover San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles during a two week trip through West-Coast USA. Can’t wait! (if you have any tips, feel free to let me know)
This week, I was thinking which blogpost I should write and which subject was suitable for my outfit shoots. But then I thought I should be more renewing, so that’s why I came up with the idea to tell you more about the ‘fashion blogger’ life. So keep on reading!
Blogging in general is hard work. I have started up a small business with one all-round employee and that’s me!
Blogging is not only what you see, it’s the whole package what’s lying underneath it. Think about web design, copywriting, photography, social media management etc. It’s a 24/7 business and since I am working 40 hours a week besides that, it is pretty busy yeah!
BUT I really enjoy doing it and it is one of my best decisions I ever made. I know there are so many bloggers out there in the Instagrammable world, but I hope you like to spend time reading this to support me a little bit more! (thank you for always doing that)
My Instagram wives and husbands
And now you’re asking yourself ‘who’s always taking the pictures?’. Well most of my photos are made with an IPhone 6 (or a small pocket photo camera) by my boyfriend, a.k.a. my Instagram husband. He (sometimes) loves doing it, but sometimes I am driving him crazy when I suddenly say: ‘’let’s make a picture right here!’’. My second photographer is my one and only dad. He always makes time and he loves spending time with me, so it is a win-win situation!
My third photographer and fellow Maastricht based blogger is Nele (you can find her blog here). We have teamed up a few weeks ago and both of us profit from taking pictures of each other. It works out really well because we both know (at least more or less) how the pictures are supposed to look like and it’s great to share our (basic) photographic knowledges and blogger experiences with each other.
Filter fun
And yes, I do like using a filter for editing my pictures. A filter always looks better and more professional in every way. I always use the VSCO photo editing app to get my photos to look like a little bit better. I always use a darker filter, because it will make my hair look darker. And now I hear you thinking, ‘why don’t go to the hairdressers then?’. Well I go really often to my hairdresser, but in some how my hair doesn’t like to be dyed and my fresh hairdo always fades after two or three weeks. So girls, listen very carefully: using a darker filter is definitely a money saver!
Also important: What am I wearing?
Normally I like it basic, but these leopard printed blouse & skirt takes my outfit to a whole new level. It’s nice for summer evenings and also double the fun, because I can wear in during the Winter months with black tights.
Leopard blouse: Open 32
Printed skirt: Open 32
Cut out boots: Elise Store
Star printed bag: Elise Store
So hope you like this new refreshing blogpost and hopefully I can tell you more about the fashion blogger life in the future. Stay tuned!
